Here's my update on what's going on in the market. For a while now rates have been rising at the fastest pace in decades, but towards the end of last week we had a brief reprieve. Last Friday prices improved as returns on the 10 year treasury bond also went up (Historically, mortgage rates and the 10 year treasury move closely together).
However! This week put an end to all that:
You'll see that my rate and fees are almost identical to last week. The small gains we had in the market last Friday have bounced back. So if your buyers are squeamish on rates right now, please consider sending them to me for a rate quote. I'm confident that I can save them money over the other lenders out there.
